Zak is a multidisciplinary storyteller, event producer, and creative consultant based in New York City.
Today, he is the Director of Operations for Experiential at Atlas Obscura, where he oversees programming and production of a variety of virtual and in-person events, courses, and experiences with one mission: to inspire wonder and curiosity about the incredible world we all share.
Zak honed his storytelling skills by leading Museum Hack's tour operations, and expanding their tour programming to the American Museum of Natural History and other museums around New York.
Next, he became a founding member of Museum Hack’s audience development team, working with museums and cultural institutions around the world to share innovative storytelling and audience engagement techniques through professional development workshops, trainings, and keynote speeches. He led the development of custom tour content and dynamic event experiences for visitors— experiences that created lasting change in the way target audiences and the general public interact with these institutions.
Zak has been on all sides of content and experience creation, from ideation and client management to marketing and final execution. He aims to ensure that all aspects are meticulously planned and infused with the dynamic language, imagery, and targeting that he knows make a final project feel bespoke and exciting.
At the end of the day, Zak is a storyteller excited by culture and science, passionate about creating lasting partnerships that benefit both creators and audience members alike.
