LQBTQIA+ Classes with Confetti

I researched, developed, wrote, and teach two virtual classes with Confetti: LGBTQIA+ Cultural Impact and Exploring LGBTQIA+ Art.

LGBTQIA+ Cultural Impact aims at uncovering how the contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community have impacted America as a whole. From the early gay rights movement to prominent figures in art and entertainment, we celebrate the way this prominent American subculture has helped a country grow and flourish.

Exploring LGBTQIA+ Art dives deep into the hidden narratives behind significant LGBTQIA+ artists and their artworks. From the shadows of repression to the frontlines of activism, this lecture will uncover how artists across diverse backgrounds and cultures have responded to the challenges and triumphs of LGBTQIA+ life, weaving threads of resilience, love, and liberation into their creations.

Along with the Confetti team, I developed engaging multimedia presentations and interactive discussions both around popular and little-known histories of the LGBTQIA+ community. Teaching this class, I use a blend of storytelling, visual aids, and participatory activities to create an inclusive environment where participants feel encouraged to share their perspectives and experiences.
