at the Florida Museum of Natural History
Collaborating with a select team, I conceived and executed an exclusive VIP after-hours event tailored to engage the target demographic of the Florida Museum of Natural History, leveraging insights into the demographics of millennials and Gen Z within the Gainesville area.
The event, Hackology, incorporated diverse modes of engagement to cater to attendees' preferences. These included interactive trivia sessions, scavenger hunts, live presentations, and unique amenities such as adult sippy cups. These elements allowed for spirited participation, friendly competition for prizes, memorable photo opportunities, and tangible souvenirs.
By leveraging strategic partnerships with community influencers and businesses, we tailored outreach efforts to resonate with our desired guest demographic. Along with targeted advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, we effectively drove engagement and ticket sales, resulting in a quickly sold-out event.
To ensure seamless execution, collaboration was facilitated across various departments, including Education, Visitor Services, IT, and Marketing.
Escape the Museum
at ASU Art Museum
I developed and executed a series of innovative events for ASU Art Museum aimed at cultivating new audiences. These events included immersive experiences such as Escape the Museum, featuring escape room-style challenges, and Get Weird, a carnival-style event.
Our efforts effectively attracted the desired demographic, comprising members of the ASU community and local Tempe residents, and fostered unique interactions with the museum's exhibits. This initiative resulted in an increased continued engagement with the museum through social and other digital mediums and repeat visits.
Designed to be replicable and scalable, these events have since been adopted and successfully implemented by ASU Art Museum staff. By embracing experiential trends uncommon in traditional museum settings, our events facilitated enhanced interaction and participation, forging direct connections between attendees and the exhibited objects in unexpected ways.
Collaborating closely with ASU Art Museum staff, we curated experiences that transcended conventional museum event norms, fostering moments of enjoyment, exclusivity, and tangible engagement. Working alongside the museum's in-house marketing team, we crafted tailored campaigns to effectively reach the target audience with overwhelming success evidenced by the rapid sell-out of tickets within 24 hours and the significant social media traction that surpassed engagement metrics from previous events.
