Recent Work
Zak is a multimedia producer, storyteller, and creative consultant based in New York City, working at the intersection of creative production, project leadership, and media strategy. His work focuses on crafting immersive, tech‑driven experiences that deepen audience engagement across digital, print, and experiential platforms.
Most recently, Zak served as Director of Operations for Experiential at Atlas Obscura, overseeing the development and production of virtual and in‑person events, courses, and large‑scale experiences built to spark curiosity about the world.
He began his career shaping Museum Hack’s tour operations, expanding programming at the American Museum of Natural History and other New York institutions. As a founding member of Museum Hack’s audience development team, Zak partnered with museums and cultural organizations globally to introduce innovative storytelling and engagement techniques through workshops, trainings, and keynote sessions. He also led the creation of custom tours and dynamic event experiences that reshaped how visitors connect with cultural spaces.
Across his career, Zak has worked end‑to‑end on content and experience creation: from early ideation and client management to creative development, marketing, and final execution. His approach blends meticulous planning with a focus on narrative clarity, visual impact, and audience‑first design.
At his core, Zak is driven by a love of culture and science, and by the belief that thoughtful, immersive storytelling can build lasting connections between creators, institutions, and the communities they serve.
